Councillor Christine Long is the Mayor for Epsom & Ewell Borough Council’s for 2012/2013. She was born in Haringay and brought up and educated in Clapham Junction. She moved to Epsom 25 years ago. Chrisitne has served as a Residents Association Councillor for Auriol Ward since 1999.
The initiative which Cllr Long has been most privileged to have been a part of is the setting up of the Trix Café in Stoneleigh Broadway. where young people can socialise after school. She is a regular parishioner of St. John’s Church in Stoneleigh. Christine says: "It is a great honour and privilege for me to be the Mayor of Epsom & Ewell this coming year. This is an exciting year - with not only the Olympics and Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, but this year also marks the Borough's 75th Anniversary.
